Biography
Jess’ career to date has largely been in operational roles with household names such as British Gas and Openreach before joining the Insurance world, first with the AA and now Homeprotect/Avantia. Jess initially led Home Sales, Service and Retention operations before expanding her role to also lead the claims operation as Chief Operating Officer. Jess has led the multi-award-winning transformation of the customer services function before more recently leading the transformation of the Homeprotect’s approach to Claim fulfilment. In her claims remit, Jess is accountable for end-to-end claims strategy and performance—from first notification of loss through to settlement and aftercare. Jess and her team have built an integrated in house capability, improving customer, business, and regulatory outcomes. Operationally, Jess has reshaped the approach to supply chain, enhanced triage and digital FNOL, and embedded data driven approaches to claims management — driving improvements in cycle time, complaint reduction and customer satisfaction. Jess also leads the claims people strategy—recruitment, training and coaching—to build a high performing, customer focused team and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
